'Ello there!
Today's cards were inspired by a pin Muddah selected from her Pinterest:
Muddah's Card:I adore my Aunt Bette's rose colored transferwear dishes. This tablescape pin with its burlap cloth, grapevine balls, and green leaves is both romantic and homey, to me. My card does not do the inspiration justice, but makes a passable Christmas card. I will be posting a second attempt soon, with more red pattern. The "Silver Setting" stamp set from Stampin' Up can also be used to make place cards.
Marker's Card:
Right then, yesh, dis ish me card! I noticed my last two cards were similar, no....had a similar thought process/layout? I'm not sure, but I wanted to do something totally different, and I think it is pretty different from my last two. I wanted a burlappy/floral patterned paper to mimic the burlap tablecloth, and I found the perfect paper. For some reason, I REALLY wanted blue in my card, and it ended up slightly clashing with the green, so I think I'll remake the card with a blue ornament in the middle. Anyway, the three ornaments were meant to mimic the three wood ball things on the table, and the brown on top is the furniture behind the table. I really thought the sentiment should stand out, so I embossed it with white powder, and I love it! The sentiment I found meant so much more to me that "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings," you know? IDK I'm a memory-oriented person, so maybe that's why? Muddah did not like the blue ribbon's placement, but I love it, though I'm willing to try a matching blue stripe at the bottom, like at the top, next time I make the card.
Yesh, thankya much forra reading! (YO!)
