Sorry it's been a few days since we've posted. We made cards but I didn't get around to taking and uploading pictures until today. The pin we used was one I picked from my Pinterest. I was extremely inspired by the colours of the picture, and I was excited to see what we would do with it.
The inspiration:
Marker's card:
The biggest inspiration for the card was the colours, and I decided to make them even more bright and exciting than in the picture. The embellishment on the top was made with two concentric framelet dies, and it was meant to mimic the valley the mountains make at the top of the picture. I stamped the flower in black, and then I decided to add a shadow image in Versamark, to mimic the water. I also thought the petals blowing in my card imitated the whole, like, aesthetic of the picture. I'm really happy with this! It might be my favourite card yet!!
Muddah's card:
As usual, I took a more literal interpretation of the inspiration. I am once again amazed at Marker's interpretation because it is not literal; she is able to isolate one or two particular elements and come up with an original idea.
Okay. That said, I layered five colors to mimic the sunrise over the forest. I then stamped silhouetted trees and the reindeer, then sponged vanilla ink to give a foggy effect, which I loved in the inspiration photo. The colors I used are definitely outside my comfort zone, so I'm happy with the challenge.
Muddah.
Welp, yes, thanks for reading and PLEASE leave a comment.
